Planning and Lands

The Planning and Lands Department has many responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Maintaining an accurate and complete land survey
• Issuing Lease agreements, including Transfers and Surrenders
• Issuance and review Development Permits
• Gathering information necessary for planning and development through field inspections, photo’s and the preparation of maps and designs
• Administering and Enforcement of the following Bylaws:
• Community Plan Bylaw #96
• Zoning Bylaw #97
• Property Standards Bylaw #142
• Land Administration Bylaw #214

The Planning and Lands Department has two employees located in the Hamlet office building.

News:

The Development Appeal Review Board rendered the Decision in regards to the ramp on #9 Ugyuk.

The new subdivision North of town is underway.

Lands Bylaws pending:

The new 2007-2027 Community Plan Bylaw #221and Zoning Bylaw #222 have had second readings.

The new Land Administration Bylaw #226 has had first reading - The Public Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 26th, 2008 @ 7:00pm in Council Chambers.
